By now you have received our 2012 Annual Newsletter. To view a copy on line click here . Our Annual General Meeting and Potluck Dinner was held on March 23, 2013. A highlight of the event was our Volunteer Recognition and the recipients of the various awards can be seen in our Annual Newsletter. For over fifteen years, Circle F has grown into a vibrant organization with over sixty volunteers who provide daily care for the horses and participate in many projects helping further the mission of Circle F. Carrying out the day-to-day administrative and organizational tasks as President and Director of the Board and as Operations Manager [OM], Walter Paetkau has provided on-site management, coordination of volunteer teams, and overall leadership to the Board. In December 2012, Walter advised the Board that he plans to withdraw from his role in two years. The Board agreed that in this transition period, Walter would receive a modest salary as OM. Subsequently, by society law, Walter is required to step away from his long-standing position as President, however, he continues to oversee Circle F in this newly created position of OM. The Board wishes to thank Walter for his years of service as President as well as his ongoing commitment to Circle F and looks forward to working with him during this transition period as optional leadership pathways are explored and volunteer teams and coordinators are mentored. Circle F-riend Jennifer Oliver Paws & Tails Pet Photography
Jennifer is a photographer who specializes in Pet Photography Equine, Canine, Feline, Wildlife & Animal Rescue) in Abbotsford BC. She has two main passions in life - animals and photography and is fortunate to be able to combine both passions into a job she loves that allows her to give back as well. She is the proud owner of two rescued cats – Lisa-Lee & Poly-Ana who help to inspire her journey. She loves being able to capture those special moments and special bond between you and your pets that will last a lifetime. Whenever she is not on a client shoot, she can often be found volunteer photographing or fundraising for local rescues helping rescue animals find their happy tails. Jennifer gave us a two complimentary photo sessions in February after also contributing a gift certificate to our raffle draw at the Pet Lover Show [see article below]. We are extremely grateful to her for not only her generosity but her love of all in the animal kingdom.
