Poker Ride and Walk 2013
The Title Sponsor for our 4th Annual Poker Ride/Walk was Swift Thoroughbreds Inc. and our media sponsors were Country 107.1 & Star 98.3. The event was held on the last day of Summer, September 21st at the magnificent High Point Equestrian Centre in Langley, BC. The grand prize winner of $1,000.00 was Gail Holicza. The 2nd prize winner of a one year Family Club Membership to High Point Equestrian Centre was Claudia Zamprogno and the 3rd prize winner of one night for two people at the Sundance Guest Ranch in Ashcroft, BC was Alisha Moffat. The event was a great success with 59 riders and 15 walkers participating. In addition, over 20 volunteers hosted the poker hand stations and registration area. Together with sponsorships, registrations, silent auction and sales, our net proceeds totaled $5,789.00 towards caring for the horses!
